Joshua Davis is a seamless union of both city and country. His writing is steeped in ragtime blues, sweet jazz, real country and cajun and he blends these traditions with his love for gritty rock n’ roll and old soul. The result is what Performing Songwriter Magazine calls, “Some of the liveliest and most rocking roots music around.”
When Davis isn’t playing solo, he fronts Michigan’s Steppin’ In It, plays guitar in vintage jazz group Shout Sister Shout, keyboards with Samuel Seth Bernard and May Erlewine and guitar with the Rachael Davis Band.
