Joe, persistance has paid off and you are truly a succesful brewer. Bellaire Brown is very nice however Hum Luma Licious had now become one of my favorites. Living in the Jackson area all my life, I have passed Zig's (last going businesses name) and wondered why someone hasn't been able to succeed there becasue all the brewing equpment is still there. After tasting beer at Harpoon Brewery in Vermont, Bells in Kazoo, Crooked Tree IPA at Darkhorse in Marshall and a couple beers at Michigan Brewing at Webberville and some at Saugatuck Brewing. But , I have to tell you that your beers are tops. You made it man, so keep on brewing some of the best beer a beer lover can find. Every beer lovers quest is to find the best tasting beers no matter how far we must look. National brand beers can't even compare to the small brewers like you are brewing so Thank You for being so persistant and caring about your craft.-gary nye

Hi Joseph:

Recently enjoyed a few pints of Bellaire Brown, and frankly it is one of the best browns I've had...and I've had many!!
I'm local to Grand Rapids and work in K-zoo, mere blocks from Bell's. Used to brew myself, until my children took up all my space.
Every year I fish Skegemog, Clam, Intermediate lakes. Next time I go, I'm definitely stopping in for a brew!
Cheers!

Evening, Joe.

We made it back to Massachusetts. Your Pandemonium Pale Ale did, too. I'm having one now as I write this.

Great vacation in northern Michigan. Good to be back there again with friends like Marlene and Ed.

Nice to meet you and to be introduced to your beer, too. A bonus.

I'll be interested in hearing and reading about your Anniversary Ale. Please save me a case of your Uncle Steve's Irish Stout. I'm sure Marlene and Ed will safe-keep it until we're out there again next summer.

In the meantime, have a good rest of the summer and year. Let us know when you plan to be in Boston next. We'd be happy to show you some New England hospitality (no, that's not an oxymoron!).

Mark Young

P.S. The Beer Advocate has you rated A+. Pretty impressive. I looked it up while we were still out there.

Joe, or do you prefer Joseph, Thanks for sticking with it. I literally just finished a Black Licorice Lager while I read your story. I have also had the pleasure of enjoying your Magician Red, Huma Lupa Licious and Bellaire Brown. I am hoping to make a pilgrimage to your pub in Bellaire this summer. Hopefully you will be there so I can meet you and shake your hand.

I am planning on going to the Michigan Summer Beer festival. Hopefully you will be there as well.

Keep up the quality brewing. It is appreciated.

Take care and God bless!!
