Every year we hold back a batch of the Sustenance and age it in “wet” bourbon barrels. We release it the following year with the new batch of Sustenance for each Anniversary party. We package it in 22 oz. bottles.

Joe,
You know that I am a fan of Soft Parade and I swoon over the Licorice Lager, but this Bourbon Barrel Sustance (I am drinking it right at this moment!) has got to be the best beer I have ever tasted!! Did I mention I love the Turtle Stout!

Dear Short’s Brewing,
I enjoyed this beer (with a few others) over Memorial weekend. I cannot believe that I was hesitant in bringing it to my store in East Lansing. This is the second time I’ve enjoyed it, and it is absolutely outstanding. My only wish is that I could reorder it, that and come back up north to Short’s.
