As you’ll recall, we had a hard fought game against our brothers in Traverse City a little while back. This coming Wednesday, we’ll be having a rematch at a location to be determined. Come cheer on your favorite team, or just come and support two great local brew crafters as we get a little exercise in. Check back here for a final location, and in the meantime enjoy some pictures from our last event.

[ September 4, 2010; 7:30 pm; ] “…sounds like a hangover, a road trip and a wobbly, broken heart all at once… glowing Americana.” – Caught in the Carousel

Valentiger leans on the time-tested melodies of bygone days, unearthing and reinventing the sounds of the 60s while drawing heavily from contemporary ideals and experiences. The energy of both old and new provides for albums that are rich in homespun warmth, as well as a live show that moves effortlessly from airy rock and roll, to harmony rich folk-rock, to subdued alt-country.

[ June 11, 2010; 7:30 pm; ] Dave Boutette’s music has one foot in just about every style of American Roots music including folk, blues, country, swing, and the rock radio that came out of Detroit in the late ’70’s. His songs are crafted and rooted in Michigan. They give witness to the beauty of the land, and strive to inspire those fortunate enough to call this place home toward a better future than what may be forecast by outsiders or non-believers.
