Live Entertainment at the Pub
We’re happy to be able to provide a venue for live entertainment in our community. Over the years we have painstakingly carved out a program that we feel works well for us considering all the variables of living in rural Bellaire, Michigan. The entertainment program is self supporting though contributions of the pub goers and the entertainers. With the help and dedication of local musicians to operate the music department, together we continue to co-invest with upgrading the space and the equipment for live music. The artists are usually self promoting and local-ish so they work on their own branding and draw to the venue. Working hard for the local draw is working to build local artists without the travel and lodging expenses involved with long distance touring. Starting in 2010 we have decided to forgo any future cover charges for music (unless Ween decides to play). If our guests appreciate their experience with the added entertainment, they are encouraged to throw a few bucks in the “tip keg”. We are pushing a end of race league dinner at Short’s on March 5th.
MACC racing is an adult race league at Boyne Mountain & for a group of us, it has become a tradition to make Short’s the place of choice for our last weekend hoorah! I am hoping to get your famous Mom’s Pot Roast sandwich again……..hint, hint and of course a Bellaire Brown.
