The Younce Guitar Duo is an inspiring acoustic guitar instrumental duo with dynamic to behold. Together they carve out a time, space and sound that is uniquely balanced and rich with an imaginative approach.  They play with an expressive and distinctive guitar interchange. Their music embraces jazz while being vibrantly connected through many genres of music, playing original compositions and original arrangements of well-known songs. Creative and innovative, while accessible and audience friendly, the Younce Guitar Duo’s music is beautifully spoken, intuitively spirited and is played with virtuosity and soul.

We’re happy to be able to provide a venue for live entertainment in our community.  The process of developing a successful program with our demographic and location has been dynamic, and we are currently experiencing the ever present need to revamp the system.  Our goal is to implement a music program in which all parties involved contribute and benefit mutually.  Shorts will continue to provide sound equipment and space for local artists.  We are happy to host the musicians, making sure they are never left hungry or thirsty.  These artists are then offered the venue and opportunity to be self promoting, building their own brand and draw without the expenses involved in long distance touring.    And lastly, the pub patrons are graced with the artisan atmosphere offered by live music.  If our guests appreciate their experience with the added entertainment, they are encouraged to throw a few bucks into the “tip keg.” All funds go directly to the musicians and any amount is much appreciated.
