Join us for a special evening of acoustic entertainment as Adam Hoppe performs at Short’s Brewing Company for the first time.
Adam Hoppe is an acoustic singer/songwriter currently based out of northern Michigan whose music could be described as resonating acoustic melodies encapsulated within a full rock sound. When performing as a solo acoustic act, he utilizes live looping, multi-effect processing, and acoustic guitar “tapping.”
Starting off his music career in a “not so long ago” summer of 2012, Adam began taking his first steps towards songwriting, storytelling and becoming a performer. Focused on developing an Acoustic/Rock sound, he practiced, toured, and performed in and out of other projects such as the Jake Allen Band, The Cookies, A Brighter Bloom, and Distant Stars. Most of the material focuses on self-exploration and the existential issues one might have when growing up in a northern area. Not shying away from other artist’s songs, Adam also compiled a collection of covers in which he has re-wrote over the years into new renditions. These remakes are specifically selected based off of their lyrical content and can come from any genre which is then recrafted into his distinct acoustic sound.
In full form, Adam’s music is performed as a rock band under the name “Mother and the Mountain.” But stripped down to its core, the sound comes from one acoustic guitar and one vocal.
