Originally from Plainwell Michigan, 24 year old folk singer/songwriter Luke Woltanski spent his summers up north were he developed a love for the Traverse City and Leelanau Area music scene. Luke was classically trained in vocal performance from age 5 and taught himself to play guitar at age 13. In the same year, while in Empire, MI, Luke bought his first harmonica (a Chromatic harp in the key of C) from an estate sale. He quickly learned to play and two summers later, at only 15, Luke played his first show for an art opening at Lake Street Studios in Glen Arbor, MI. He sang and played original tunes as well as covers on harmonica and guitar. He would continue to play shows in the area until he eventually put himself through college by playing shows in the summers.
