The Cloudbuilders is a performing group unlike anything you have seen or heard before! Called a “hi-tech acoustic kaleidoscope”, and performing “improvisational folk, rock, and soul”, this acoustic power trio is groove heavy, and sonically rich. Comprised of three music veterans, the Cloudbuilders’ technicians combine traditional acoustic instruments, modern technology, along with hand-built instruments and equipment to create a live music experience before your eyes.
Adam Labeaux (guitar, vocals, harmonica)
A nationally touring singer/songwriter from Ann Arbor, MI, Adam performers 200+ dates per year. Adam was a co-founder of the Ragbirds, and Anna Lee’s Company. He has recorded five independent albums, and has appeared as a guest on countless others. Adam also hosts the annual Broken Branch Breakdown music festival, as well as a variety of music-based charitable fundraisers.
Sara Gibson (cello)
Bowling Green University graduate, Sara Gibson was classically trained, and active in the Toledo area music scene before relocating to Ann Arbor to take a position as the Slauson Middle school Orchestra Director. Since, she been an active session musician with recent credits on recordings by Mike Gentry, Dave Solo, and Gary Browe. Sara is also a staple performer with area pit orchestras, including the Croswell Opera House.
Daniel McDonald (percussion, vibraphone)
Daniel graduated from University of Michigan with a masters in music in percussion performance. He currently teaches percussion at Albion College, as well as private studios. Daniel performs regularly with a variety of pit orchestras, as a session musician, and with contemporary and jazz groups such as the Leigh Daniels Band, and Anna Lee’s Company.
