Gleaner Bock

German-style Bock made with barley from Valley View Farms

A light bodied German Bock that pours a nice golden tan color with soft aromas of fruity yeast and toffee. Lightly toasted grain flavors, along with some delicate malt sweetness, creates an overall easy drinking experience that finishes pleasantly dry.

Origin Story

Tony decided to do a true to style German Bock. Below he explains why he chose this particular beer style to showcase the Boyer's barley and the significance of the name, Gleaner's Bock: The truly unique thing about this brew is that it's the first time we worked directly with local barley farmers. So, I wanted to choose a beer style that would highlight the malt flavor. I didn't want to overshadow the local barley with hops or yeast character. So, I decided to go with a Bock. The name Gleaner is the model of the combine that we used to harvest the barley at the Boyer Farm. I say "we", because I rode on the combine for a few minutes.
