Welcome to the South End

Your destination for events, rain or shine

Private dining at the Pub. Located at the south end of the Short’s Bellaire brewery, The South End is a short drive from Traverse City, Charlevoix, or Petoskey, and a quick trip up from Grand Rapids, Chicago, and Detroit making it the perfect location for rehearsal dinners, business retreats, and community events. (We’ve even got an AirBNB upstairs if that’s your thing.)

We can scale the fancy to tickle your fancy

Order from the menu or select a buffet-style meal with your favorite Pub fare and crowd-pleasers like byo-taco bars. Drinks you say? No visit to Short’s would be complete without a pint or two of our award-winning liquid libations, with 20 drafts including craft beer, cider, plus canned wine, limited-edition bottle releases, and non-alcoholic beverages.

Capacity for The South End is 40 people seated, and 50 people standing. We’ll need your final headcount two weeks prior to your event.

What about taxes and gratuity, are they included?

All food, beverage, and additional costs will be subject to Michigan’s 6% sales tax, and we add a 20% gratuity for our staff.

What if the weather is too crazy for my party?

Inclement weather is a thing up here. In the case that an event has to be canceled due to Mother Nature, we will make every effort to try and reschedule the event within 14 days of the original date. If the event is unable to be rescheduled, the deposit will be forfeited. Short’s Brewing also maintains compliance with all government regulations and orders and will work with the party to modify arrangements as needed. If the party cannot be accommodated due to such restrictions no cancellation fee is due and the deposit will be returned.
