Lecker Schmeker

N/A

Lecker Schmeker is a Belgian style Bitter brewed with English Admiral and Brambling Cross Hops, Marris Otter malt, and fermented with Belgian Ale yeast. Dark copper in color and cloudy, Lecker Schmeker pours with an off white head. An initial aroma of clove and bubblegum transitions to scents of herbal hops and caramel as the brew begins to warm. Medium-bodied, this Belgian style Bitter has traditional flavors of clove and bubblegum as well as notes of caramel, toast, and hops. Overall, Lecker Schmeker is well balanced with a bitter hop finish.

Origin Story

From Forrest Moline: "Lecker Schmecker translates to "yummy" in German. Since Belgium has a few different languages (including German) I decided to start googling names like tasty, good, yummy and delicious. I thought Lecker Schmecker was a funny fun name to say so I went with it. I am a fan of ESB's and when I tasted The Viscount at Bar Oxygen in Midland MI during a beer event with Eric Haycock I thought it was mad good. I once had a beer from a local brewery of which they added the wrong yeast to their ESB so I thought it would be a fun idea to try our hand at a Belgian ESB!"
