Super Delicious Stout Extreme Beer Fest Edition

Stout aged in Iron Fish Distillery maple bourbon barrels

This very special edition beer is a very special collaboration with our friends at Iron Fish Distillery for the first ever virtual Extreme Beer Fest, hosted by Beer Advocate.

What started out as a classic Irish stout (Uncle Steve’s Stout to be exact) is transformed by 12 glorious months in Iron Fish Maple Bourbon Barrels. The Iron Fish Maple Bourbon Barrels have quite the history before they make their way to us—they start by aging Bourbon, then they age maple syrup from the 5th generation Greiner Sugar Bush in the Bourbon barrels, then they age Bourbon again in the maple Bourbon barrels. THEN we threw our Super Delicious Stout in them and aged that for another year.

Pretty super if you ask us. This beer is roasty, toasty, and chocolatey with a very smooth finish. No dragon breath here. Enjoy a couple and savor the Super Delicious goodness that Northern Michigan has to offer.
