Good humans of the mitten state! We are happy to announce not one, but FIVE seasonal Short’s beers are now available on shelves throughout Michigan. Yes, that’s right, both our winter seasonal, Good Humans as well as the Winter Variety Pack can now be found at a store near you.
Good Humans (8% ABV, 40 IBU) was created to showcase one of Briess Malting Company’s new malt varieties. Originally planned as a one-time thing, it quickly became one of our big successes. Good Humans is a Double Brown Ale made with Carabrown Malt, and then dry hopped with Simcoe hops. The brew has sweet malty esters that are met by huge toasted caramel and toffee flavors. The finish is dry with a bouquet of hops. Joe found inspiration for this beer in a line from a song by Northern Michigan Singer – Songwriter and good friend, Seth Bernard.
Short’s 2014 Winter Variety Pack includes a beer for everyone at the table. The Winter Variety pack features crisp Stellar Ale (5.3% ABV , 15 IBU), malty Happy Jack (5.5% ABV, 51 IBU), sumptuous Black Chai (5% ABV, 50 IBU), and hoppy Dr. Zeus (4.5% ABV).
