The aroma is dominated by earthy grapefruit tones. Initial malt sweetness is quite low and tart citrus and floral hop qualities overpower other perceived flavors. Aided by the addition of grapefruit zest, the finish electrifies the mouth, but is not unbearably bitter.
Conceived by Beer Liberator Jon Wojtowicz, Hopstache was first brewed as a celebration of Woj’s wedding and named for the theme of his 30th birthday party. The label depicts Joe Short’s very first mustache, a mustache he’s since diligently improved upon towards the marvel we experience today.
Due to the overwhelmingly positive reactions by pub patrons and fans at festivals who tried Hopstache (5.7% ABV and 106 IBU), we are excited to announce bottles will be making their way to shelves statewide for the very first time this week. Experience for yourself the infatuating power of the ‘Stache!
