Inspired by a team of space geniuses and crafted to reduce gluten, we are bottling and distributing Alien Einstein for the first time ever. It can be found on shelves today (4/18)!
Alien Einstein (5.5% ABV, 75 IBU) is a light bodied India Pale Lager with a dull golden color and an inviting aroma of tangy freshly squeezed grapefruit juice. A bright burst of pleasant hop flavors hit the palate, spanning from fruity to earthy characteristics. These flavors are followed by a tide of increasing resiny bitterness, exemplifying the well-rounded versatility of the American Mosaic hops used exclusively in this beer. At the start of fermentation, a special gluten reducing enzyme (Brewer’s Clarex) is added to reduce the overall gluten content of the beer to below 20 ppm (parts per million).
Originally developed to answer the broken-hearted cry of Short’s fans who are affected with gluten-intolerant conditions, this IPL may be low in gluten, but it’s sure not low in flavor! Now more people can taste and enjoy the hoppy goodness of the most widely consumed alcoholic beverage on planet earth: beer.
The name Alien Einstein was a Joe inspiration since he tells everyone he’s an alien. Tony wanted to play on that idea as well as the fact that the team used a breakthrough scientific method to make the beer gluten-reduced.
