That’s right good humans, in response to your feedback and requests, we’ve decided to keep Space Rock, one of our favorite American Pale Ales, on store shelves and flowing from taps year-round.
Almost immediately after Joe’s first extraterrestrial snowmobile trip back in December, 2014 (when he brought back our first sampling of the tasty little nuggets of alien technology necessary to brew Space Rock), we knew Joe would have to return to outer space to harvest many more intergalactic hops next year.
However, the response to this brew was so overwhelming that we had to change our plan. Sarah D. wrote “Delicious! A great pale ale. Assertive but balanced. Bitter, but not too much. Golden.” Chris R. exclaimed “Excellent” and gave this brew five gold stars and according to Randale C. “It’s broken into my top five!! The alien nuggets were the tastiest.” This brew “hopped with tasty little nuggets of alien technology” was flying off store shelves at the speed of light!
We cleared Joe’s schedule, asked Bob Underhill (Chief of Extraterrestrial Snowmobile Maintenance) to ready the vehicle, bundled Joe up in some winter gear from Short’s Mart, and sent him back up into the stars.
The result of Joe’s trip? Enough space rocks and intergalactic hops for those of us on earth (specifically, in the greatest state of all, Michigan) to enjoy Space Rock for the duration of each trip around the sun.
Space Rock (5% ABV – 70 IBU) is a light bodied American Pale Ale with prominent floral and orange peel-like hop aromas. Only the slightest grainy malt qualities are detectable, as assertive bitter flavors of citrus rind and dandelion leaf take hold. The finish lingers with a waning bitterness that’s not overly dry.
Space Rock, now available year-round, is our latest Flagship brew. Look for Space Rock to make a landing at your favorite stores, bars and restaurants throughout the state of Michigan, this week.
