Uncle Steve’s returns through the spring

While we may be known for some of our more experimental creations, we’ve also taken the time to hone our brewing skills on classic beer styles. Making its first appearance in 2008 at a Brewski Bash party, Uncle Steve’s was brewed at the request of our Warehouse Supervisor and the beer’s namesake, Steve Ison (who also recently celebrated his 12th Shortsiversary!), for Joe to brew a good ‘ol dry Irish Stout. Nearly 10 years later, this is one Short’s brew we’re always happy to welcome back to the taps.

Uncle Steve’s (5.8% ABV – 20 IBU) is Short’s version of the classic Irish Stout, complete with a dark color, soft head, and smooth full flavor typical of this lighter bodied style. A simple grist formula provides a base of roasted malt flavors with a creamy drinkability everyone loves.

Making an appearance as a seasonal release this year, we’re ready to sip on this classic from now through the end of March. Pick up a six pack on Michigan store shelves now and celebrate your inner Irishman.
