We’re Dialing Controversy Up To 11

Following the resounding success of Aww Jeah (a double Huma Lupa Licious) at our 8th Anniversary last year, we’re excited to premier another double version of one of our favorites during this year’s Anniversary Party weekend! Prepare to make the acquaintance of Controversius Maximus.

Controversius Maximus (8.5% ABV, 155 IBU) is a double IPA built from our beloved ControversiALE. Two times the Simcoe dose of ControversiALE yields a fresh citrus blast and evergreen aromas that flood your senses with dank hoppiness. Sweet flavors of candied orange peel combine with prominent caramel and toasted qualities from the addition of specialty malts. Intense aromatic pleasures combine perfectly with delicious bitterness.

But don’t go asking for Controversius Maximus at your local bottle shop. This extremely limited release will take place exclusively at the Short’s brewpub in Bellaire as part of our 9th Anniversary Party on April 27th. A pre-sale of bottles and cases will begin at 1 pm, while draft Controversius Maximus will start pouring when doors open at 3 pm. Your one opportunity to experience this beer is this weekend at our Anniversary Party, so don’t miss it.

No pressure.
