August is a five-piece soul-pop band rooted in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Since their 2018 debut, August hit the ground running, performing at many sought-after venues and festivals across West Michigan. Their music draws inspiration from many areas of music (soul, funk, rock, pop, jazz, etc.) thanks to the varied and unique musical tastes of each member. Their lyrics tell stories of the intimate human experience and are musically presented in a dynamic and approachable fashion through soaring vocals, tight female harmonies, and genre-bending guitar solos. With two full albums and an EP under their belt, the band looks forward to brand new music being released in 2023.
