Adia's Ale

Adia’s Ale is a crisp and light beer brewed with strawberries and kiwi. Aromas of fruit fill the nose along with biscuity esters. A blast of strawberry flavors blend perfectly with the subtle grain qualities and tangy kiwi notes. A bright effervescence assists the overall clean and refreshing nature of this beer.

Origin Story

Affectionately referred to this time as Adia's Ale: Version 2.0, Bryan Banfield's conceptual experimental fruit ale created last summer as a dedication beer to his new born baby girl returns. When asked about the "2.0", Bryan explains that it's the perfect way to acknowledge Adia's upcoming second birthday and our second take on this fun themed beer. People thoroughly enjoyed having another refreshing summertime beer option and curiously explored the tasty potential that comes from using a unique fruit such as kiwi in a beer. This year's version has a slightly increased malt bill that seems to provide a better base to showcase all of the bright fruity contributions. Even the color this time seemed to take on a subtle pinkish hue. Below is the original account of how Adia's Ale came to be: "By now, I'm sure everyone is aware that our GM Bryan Banfield has a beautiful baby girl, of which he is extremely proud. She has been into the pub numerous times and in case you haven't seen her, simply ask Bryan, and I'm sure he would be happy to oblige you w/ countless pictures that he has on him at all times. Her name is Adia and she celebrated her first birthday this past Tuesday. In honor of this momentous occasion, Bryan wanted to give her one of the best birthday presents imaginable, a batch of beer brewed in her honor. Now, I know what you are thinking, a one year old shouldn't drink beer. This is true, and even though this seems more like a gift for Dad than daughter, this is seriously a very cool way to celebrate important moments in one's life. Historically speaking, people have been using beer to commemorate special occasions for centuries. This is seen still today w/ beer releases like Harvest Ales, Christmas Ales, numerous wedding ales (Alela Reverend, Sacred Union). Certain beer styles, such as bocks, are brewed and released to coincide w/ the celebration of religious holidays. Even though she wont be able to remember this beer, Adia will hear countless stories about it's existence and the joy it symbolized. Her name will also be said every time someone orders a glass full and a small celebration will take place when someone enjoys it enough to inquire about the story that goes w/ it.
