Maple Bourbon Hopped in Black is an American Black Ale aged in bourbon barrels that previously aged maple syrup. Black in color with a mocha hued head, this beer has flavors and aromas of oak, bourbon, chocolate, light citrus, and a touch of sweet maple syrup. The slightly sticky mouthfeel accentuates the maple flavors. Full bodied, this beer finishes with oak, chocolate, and a slight warming from the alcohol.

Origin Story

We originally made it for a party for Little Fleet was having for Chef Ryan being on the show Hell's Kitchen. At the same time we also wanted to put a dark beer in some maple bourbon barrels we just got, so I decided on a hoppy American Black Ale. The name "Hopped In Black" started as just a place holder, no real story other than it being a hoppy black ale, but we ended up liking the name so it stuck.
