Support Local with this Special Private Stache Release

Join us today, May 18th from 4 pm – 8 pm for a mid-spring dance party at Short’s Brewing Company, featuring DJ Ras Marco, local food specials, the launch of the Crosshatch spring matching gift campaign, and the first ever Imperial Crosshatch Beer, Honey Root Field Ale.

Honey Root Field Ale (9.2% ABV – 39 IBU) is an Imperial Experimental Field Ale brewed with honey, maple syrup, sweet potatoes, and Triple Pearl hops – all local – as a fundraiser for Crosshatch Center for Art & Ecology. Copper in color with a white head, this beer has aromas of spice, chocolate, citrusy hops, and earthy grass. Leading with notes of cinnamon and citrus, the flavors quickly transition to notes of baked sweet potatoes, biscuit, caramel, and light maple. Medium bodied with a slight warming from the alcohol, this beer finishes dry, chocolatey and smooth.

We’ll have an arts interlude with live music and poetry from Crosshatch’s Long Memory Project and news about Crosshatch’s big projects on 8th Street in TC and the 52 acre “Hatchquarters” site in Bellaire.
