A Thankful Community of Craft Beer

Happy Thanksgiving to all from the Short’s and Short’s Cast team! We’re excited to bring you a unique episode this week, focusing on a thankful community of craft beer. First we sit down with our CEO, Joe Short, who reflects on his recent trip to Lansing for the first leg of the Michigan Only Tour. Joe also expresses his thanks to his family and the Short’s family.

The Cookies just released their debut album “Welcome to the Party.” You’ll hear two songs “Love is Divine” and “Get It Together” on this episode of Short’s Cast. They will be performing at this year’s Brewski Bash where Short’s will be tapping 5 stouts, and celebrating all day long. You can find more info about The Cookies at TheCookiesBand.com.

Next, Woj and Mike had the opportunity to roam the Michigan Brewers Guild Detroit Fall Beer Festival where they ran into some good humans who work in the Michigan craft beer community.

You’ll hear from:

Conrad Conner, Head Brewer at Redwood Brewing Company

Chris Reester, Brewer at Greenbush Brewery

Dano’ an original Short’s Mug Club Member

Evan Keller, Head Brewer at Lake Charlevoix Brewing Company

Chuck Osberger, Director of Sales at Frankenmuth Brewery

Chris “Chutte” Hutte, Head Brewer at Blackrocks Brewery

Brian Confer, Head Brewer and Co-Owner of Stormcloud Brewing Company

Ben Darcie, Wandering Monk at Brewery Vivant

Jeff Sheehan, Head Brewer and Co-Founder of Rockford Brewing Company

Taylor Sargent, Festival and Events Director at Rockford Brewing Company

Steve Berthel, Head Pub Brewer at New Holland Brewing Company and Secretary of the Michigan Brewers Guild

We want to thank everyone for taking the time to talk to us at the Detroit Fall Beer Festival. We appreciate the honesty, and love working side by side with you in the craft beer community. Cheers! And Happy Thanksgiving!
