It’s American Craft Beer Week and we can’t think of a more appropriate way to celebrate than with the release of Tunnel Bear. Fermented with a mixed culture of wild yeast and bacteria, and aged in wine barrels for 17 months this Sour Rye Brown Ale is the embodiment of the spirit of creativity and dedication to craft that we strive for in every brew. And so today, we’re sharing this one of a kind, Private Stache release with you!
Tunnel Bear (6.5% ABV – 12 IBU – 15.6 g/L) is a barrel aged Sour Rye Brown Ale. This beer is a dark brown in color and pours with a slightly off-white head. Tunnel Bear has aromas of fruit, lightly toasted caramel, and oak. Light in body, this Sour Brown Ale is initially tart, but moves into flavors of oak, roasted chocolate, and caramel. The finish is smooth with very little bitterness.
Packaged in 500mL bottles ($11.99 each), Tunnel Bear is now available at the pub and Short’s Mart. Come for Tunnel Bear and stay to the #ACBW fun. We’ve got a week of events including 5 taps of barrel aged beers, Yoga, and a pairing with Bon Bon Bon. Visit http://www.shortsbrewing.com/acbw2017 to learn all about our celebration.
