Badankadank

Badankadank is a honey colored Double IPA with big dank aromas of pine and fruit zest. Total hop domination leads to a huge resiny bitterness and flavors of citrus rind. The finish is dry with some lasting bitter hop attributes and notes of alcohol.

Origin Story

The story behind this beer all originated from the name, Badankadank. Last fall we were gearing up to brew Quazar Dank at the production facility when the song Honky Tonk Badonkdonk came on the Sonos speakers. As the song played and I sang along in my head the word badonkadonk morphed in badankadank. My new version of the song was stuck in my head most of the day. Eventually it dawned on my that Badankadank would make a great beer name. I picked out a combination of dankest hops I could think of and wrote a recipe for a double IPA brewed with rice syrup. I wanted a simple malt bill paired with the rice so that the hops would be the focus of the beer. I handed off the recipe to T$ and he gave it the green light. BOOM, that's a beer.- Aaron Smith
