The ISLAND Benefit Concert raises about $6,000 to assist with a number of ISLAND’s major programs. Money from the 2013 Benefit Concert will be used to support:
- The Artist Residency Program, supporting writers, musicians and non-studio artists with time and space to create new work.
- ISLAND’s new guild programs, connecting small farmers, beekeepers, fruit growers and others through a network of support, workshops, farm tours and potlucks.
- Garden projects at Central Lake Elementary School and in Mancelona.
- Keeping our dozens of yearly events affordable and accessible.
- Building our lending library of 4000+ books.
- Growing new projects and programs—there are plenty more on the way!
