We are very excited to be working with Grand Traverse Resort and Spa for the Imperial Series Food and Beer Pairing event going on at the Garvey Family Barn on June 7th. Short’s is re-creating the 13 beer Imperial Series for this event to emulate the event that took place seven years ago.
Pauline and Matt sit down with Joe to talk about that very night and what we have to look forward to for the event taking place on June 7th. Pauline and Matt then get the opportunity to head to the 17th floor of Grand Traverse Resort to meet with Director of Culinary, Chef Bill Matthews of Grand Traverse Resort. They plan on taking the original 2007 menu and putting their own little spin on it! Chef Bill gives us his perspective of how to pair beer and food.
The Southeast Michigan Beer Liberator Brian Talpos joins the show to talk about a new beer release “Prolonged Enjoyment” which is a session IPA coming out this summer. He gives us some food recommendations to pair with this particular beer and also gives us tips on how to grill with beer.
