It’s 3:30 pm on a beautiful Friday in Northern Michigan and we’ve got one thing on our mind: happy hour. With clear skies and summertime temps in the foreseeable forecast, we figure it’s about time we issue our next set of recommendations for your seasonal sippin’. Read on to see just what we’ll be drinking this month!
Soft Parade (7.5% ABV – 15 IBU): You know the saying “stop and smell the roses”? This month we’re challenging you to stop and really savor each sip from a pint, bottle, or can of Soft Parade. We know you love our Flagship Fruit Rye Ale as much as we do, afterall, it is one of our best selling brews. but when was the last time you took a moment to really appreciate the complex aroma and flavor of this fruit-filled brew? Available throughout our distribution format in kegs, bottles, and cans, Soft Parade is practically synonymous with summertime. Pick up a sixer and see for yourself.
Melt My Brain (3.8% ABV – 18 IBU): Our new summer seasonal is melting brains near and far. Melt My Brain, an experimental Golden Ale brewed with coriander, juniper berries, limes and blended with housemade tonic water is now flowing from taps and pouring from cans and bottles throughout the Great Lakes region. At 3.8% ABV, you can enjoy this crushable cocktail inspired brew all day long.
Immortal Jelly (5.2% ABV): The Soft Parade of ciders, Immortal Jelly, is fermented with Michigan apples and a blend of raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries. Starcut Ciders’ current seasonal, Immortal Jelly, is here for a limited time only. Get your fill of this semi-dry cider before she drifts away for another year. BONUS: All of our ciders are clean and naturally gluten free!
Local’s Light (5.2% ABV – 11 IBU): Your neighbor knows where it’s at. Especially if they’re telling you wherever the “it” is with a Local’s light in hand! Short’s Flagship American Light Lager is light, crisp, and clean. Perfect for a day in the yard or on the lake, Local’s Light clocks in at 5.2% ABV and 11 IBU. Enjoyed by new beer drinkers and craft aficionados alike, you best believe you need to get yourself a sixer of this light-bodied brew.
Prolonged Enjoyment (3.5% ABV – 45 IBU): All the hop flavor, but just half the ABV: It’s Prolonged Enjoyment! Like the tagline says, this Session IPA brewed with Amarillo, Simcoe, and Citra hops is “unquestionable quaffable” for long days needed to remain upright and refreshed. Packing a real hop punch, you won’t believe you can go back for a second pint!
Strawberry Short’s Cake (4.3% ABV – 10 IBU): Best described as “rose-colored party nectar,” Strawberry Short’s Cake is literally a liquified version of everyone’s favorite dessert, strawberry shortcake. A quick Google search will tell you that the solid version of this treat has been enjoyed since in the good ol’ USA since around 1847. Our version was first brewed up in 2009 and is still going strong! Find Strawberry Short’s Cake pouring from taps and on store shelves in limited quantities throughout our Great Lakes distribution footprint now.
