Short’s Brewing Co. Announces Distribution of Two Beers for Independent Accounts Only

In an effort to reaffirm their commitment to local, Michigan small businesses, Short’s Brewing Company announces the distribution of two brews for independent Michigan accounts only. Publican Porter, a classic Short’s brew and Chief Hopper, a brand new Double IPA will be distributed to interested Michigan accounts with fewer than five locations nationwide. Both Publican Porter and Chief Hopper will be available in six-packs of 12oz bottles and various keg sizes.

The idea to brew and distribute a beer for independent Michigan accounts originated this past summer. With Short’s decision to expand their distribution footprint to include new states in early 2016, the company sought ways to demonstrate its commitment to local, independent establishments.

Receiving an impressive score of 92 on BeerAdvocate, Publican Porter, is a London-Style Porter that was originally bottled as a part of Short’s 2007 Imperial Beer Series. In contrast, Chief Hopper is a new Double IPA hopped with Vic Secret, Simcoe, and Centennial hops and inspired by the show “Stranger Things.” Chief Hopper made it’s debut at the Short’s Brewing Company pub this past fall to rave reviews.

Restaurants, taprooms, bars, and independent retailers are encouraged to contact their Short’s or Imperial Beverage representative to place an order before January 13th, 2017. Michigan residents, look forward to enjoying both beverages on tap and in bottles in early March.
