It’s our annual field trip where we head out to Empire Hops Farm in beautiful Empire, Michigan. We talk with the farm manager Alex Weisen who oversees all that goes on at Empire Hops Farm and much more. Alex gives us a history of the farm and why they decided to start growing hops about eight years ago, the history of hops in Michigan, and the future of the industry here in the mid-west.
