Short’s Brewing Company of Bellaire, Michigan filled Bridge Street in Bellaire with over 3000 people on April 30, 2016. Celebrating their 12 year anniversary and raising money for the Bellaire Downtown Development Authority while doing so, Short’s “party for a cause” was a great success.
Short’s couldn’t ring in their 12th year without thanking the community for their continued support. The party is not only a celebration of friends, beer, food, and music, but a time to come together as a community. The event is a fundraiser for the Bellaire Downtown Development Authority, and Short’s is pleased to announce that because of the success of Anni Party, over $15,000 will be donated to the Bellaire DDA.
Joe Short shared that, “after 3 years of doing this large scale event, I’m excited to have made a profit this year. We really have it dialed in. Bellaire’s DDA has some great momentum and an ambitious vision. I’m so happy that we’re working hard and seeing success to make Short’s and our community more awesomer.”
The company’s Festival and Events team reported record breaking statistics this year. Attendees came from 25 different states, as well as Ontario and Guatemala. The brewery went through nearly 100 ½ barrels of Short’s Brew and Starcut Ciders and 50 cases of cans during the event. Compression, Short’s collaboration brew with headlining band, Vulfpeck, sold out within the first hour of the event.
Short’s fed hungry fans by the thousands with their very own Woj’s Weiners slinging over 700 hot dogs, the pub cranking out over 1,000 meals, and Cordwood BBQ and Man and Pan Paella selling a combined 1,100 meals.
Save the date for the next Short’s Brewing bash, Short’s Fest, coming up August 6 in Elk Rapids, Michigan.
