Bellaire, Mich. – Following the overwhelming success of his performance at Short’s 10th Anniversary Party in April of this year, Short’s Brewing Company is excited to announce the return of Dean Ween and the Brownouts to the Pub for two special performances this December 19th and 20th.
A first of its kind concert at Short’s, Dean Ween (AKA Mickey Melchiondo, formerly of the band Ween) and The Brownouts (a Ween cover band) will take the stage at 11:30 pm each night to share a rocking and eclectic set list, including some Dean Ween favorites from the Ween catalog.
As a concert venue, Short’s Pub will offer an intimate setting to enjoy the music of this sought after group. Joe Short, Short’s Brewing Company CEO and Creative Engineer (and Ween superfan) saw his dream of hosting Dean Ween come true in April for the Short’s Brewing Company 10th Anniversary party and was thrilled to invite the band back to Bellaire for a weekend of great music and delicious beer.
When asked about the opportunity to invite Dean Ween and the Brownouts back to the pub Joe explained that, “Mickey was really impressed with our super fandom when he visited this spring and is excited to be back in Northern Michigan. Ween music is the inspiration for the names of our menu items as well as many of the creative endeavours here at Short’s, so we are excited to welcome Dean Ween and The Brownouts back with open arms. We are really grateful to be in a position to host awesome local and national groups here at the Pub.”
The Pub will be open until 10:30 pm before closing to the general public, and reopening at 10:45 pm for concert attendees. Tickets will go on sale beginning on December 1st – December 15th, 2014 (or until sold out). Tickets cost $15.00 plus shipping and handling.
