Women In Craft Beer

More and more women are getting involved in the craft beer community and this episode is a toast to those ladies. Pauline Knighton has moved out of the podcast host role to become a beer liberator.  She has been extremely busy helping to form Fermenta – an organization for those women who work in the craft beverage industry.

Our new hosts Gillian Cobb and Bridgett Beckwith take the lead on this episode and bring our beloved COO Matt Drake to talk about when Pauline initially approached Matt about starting Fermenta.

We’re also honored to have the first official woman Cicerone, Annette May to talk about Fermenta and her experiences working in the craft beer industry since the early 90’s.

Music is provided by The Accidentals and Blake Elliot who have teamed up with some other talented female musicians to form Girls With Guitars. The songs you’ll hear are “Bulletproof Glass” and “The Silence” from The Accidentals, and “You Don’t Feel the Same About Me” by Blake Elliott.

Our Beer Release was actually brewed at the pub by some of the ladies of Short’s and Fermenta. “It’s About Thyme” is now on tap in Bellaire!
